1950s
It all started in a family-run medical hall in Singapore's heartland. Established in the 1950s, Eng Hong Medical Hall quickly gained a reputation for its friendly service, affordable prices, and effective products.
1960s
In the 1960s, after extensive study and growing demand, our founders began manufacturing and distributing house brand herbal products, widely used by Chinese physicians.
1970s
In 1971, Poli Medical was founded by the second-generation owners of Eng Hong Medical Hall to specialize in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It soon expanded to Malaysia and Indonesia, and built its first factory in Singapore.
1980s
By the 1980s, Poli Medical served over 2,000 medical halls in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. In 1988, Poly Natural was created to market health foods, focusing on bird’s nest, with factories in Singapore and Johor.
1990s
When strict regulations were introduced, Poli Medical and Poly Natural embraced them, modernized their processes, and maintained their use of authentic ingredients, gaining customer trust and confidence.
2000s
By 2000, Poli Medical had three factories. In 2006, it upgraded its pharmaceutical plant to GMP standards and expanded into western health and beauty supplements. Its success is founded on integrity, innovation, and quality.
